DTN COMMENTS: Another slow start to the day, so far, bids and asking
prices have not been reestablished. Significant trade volume will likely
be delayed until sometime later today. Beef cutouts are expected to be
lower with light to moderate box movement.
Yesterday, bids were noted at $253 in parts of the South and $260 in
parts of Nebraska. The bids in Kansas and Texas were well below asking
prices of $258. Asking prices in the North were very elusive.
NOTE: Feedlots are encouraged to email DTN with any cattle sales, at
linda.nellson@dtn.com. All sales will be listed anonymously and organized
by state. All live sales are FOB and set for 1-9-day delivery. A weekly
summary from this data will be posted on the Weekly Cattle Sales Reported
to DTN page and will be left up for the entire week for reference
purposes.
